The problem

On a rough trail the chain whips up and down and hits the chainstay, again and again. On a Levo or a Kenevo the motor is quiet, so that chain slap is the loudest thing on the bike. A thin strip of rubber saves the paint, but it does little for the noise, and stick-on tape starts to peel after a few wet rides.

The fix

Chain Silencer is a full length chainstay guard with a row of tall, thin, flexible fins. The chain lands on the fin tips, the fins bend and take the hit, and the slap never reaches the frame. The guard sits on top of the drive side chainstay and runs from the rear pivot along the whole straight section, then follows the kink up to the main pivot, so the whole chain line is protected, not only the middle.

It is shaped to the real chainstay of the Levo Gen 3 and Kenevo Gen 3 and held by two screw straps, not glue. It sits like a factory part and it does not peel.

Questions

What does a chain silencer do?
It stops chain slap. The chain lands on tall flexible fins instead of the hard chainstay, so the hit is soft and quiet, and the paint stays whole.
Which bikes does it fit?
The Specialized Turbo Levo Gen 3 and the Kenevo Gen 3. It is shaped to that chainstay and does not fit other frames.
Does it fit the Levo SL or Kenevo SL?
No. The SL frames have a different chainstay.
Is it stuck on with tape?
No. It is held by two screw straps, so it cannot peel in the wet and it comes off clean for a frame wash or a service.
