The problem
Specialized leaves the suspension linkage exposed. The lower and upper arms sit right behind the rear tyre, in the spray. Every wet ride packs grit into the pivot bearings, and stones and branches hit the arms head on. Bearings die early and a linkage service is a whole afternoon.
The fix
A two part flap set shaped to the Specialized linkage. One flap mounts on the lower arm, one on the upper arm, and together they shield the pivots from mud, dust, stones and branches. They follow the lines of the frame, so they look like something Specialized forgot to fit.
