Finish

The problem

Look at the end of the bar tape on almost any road bike. It is held by a strip of electrical tape. On a brand new bike in the shop it is already wrinkled. A week later the glue edge has caught a grey line of dust. After a season it curls, peels, and the tape end unwinds with it. Every re-wrap ends the same way, because there was never a proper part for this job.

The fix

Wrap Clamp is that part. A rigid ring that presses the end of the wrap flat against the bar and holds it there. One clean line, the same on both sides, every time. Nothing sticky, nothing that collects dust, nothing to peel. It is shaped for road drop bars and routes over the brake hose, so it sits under the hood like it came with the bike.

Fits 23.8 mm bar tops with brake hose routing. The shift cable version is coming. Choose black polished, black matte or white to match the cockpit.

Questions

What does Wrap Clamp replace?
The strip of electrical or finishing tape that normally holds the end of road bike bar tape.
Which bar diameter does it fit?
Road drop bars with 23.8 mm tops, which is the standard bar top diameter next to the stem area.
Does it work with brake hoses under the tape?
Yes. This version is shaped to route over a brake hose.
Does it work with mechanical shift cables?
Not this version. A shift cable version is in development.
Can I reuse it after a re-wrap?
Yes. It is a rigid ring with no adhesive, so it comes off and goes back on every time you re-wrap.
